Anti-gangs detectives have seized 300kg of cannabis in a major bust at Keilor Park.
Investigators from the Echo taskforce arrested two people and seized the drugs this morning in what was described as a “targeted vehicle intercept.”
A semi-trailer was pulled over in Cemetery Rd and its driver, a 54-year-old Queensland man, taken into custody.
Detectives then uncovered a “significant quantity” of packaged drugs.
More drugs were found when warrants were carried on a property and a van at Dallas, in Melbourne’s northwest.
A 50-year-old Dallas man was arrested.
Police said the arrests and seizure were part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
The men are expected to be interviewed today.
