Woman dead and two airlifted to hospital in horror Merrijig crash
A Cremorne woman has died and two others have been airlifted to hospital in a horror crash in Victoria’s north east.

A two car crash in Merrijig last night has left one woman dead and two airlifted to hospital.
It is understood a Kia station wagon and a Mitsubishi Triton ute collided at Mt Buller Road, near Mimosa Drive, at about 9.20pm yesterday.
There were three occupants in the ute, including a 48-year-old Cremorne woman in the rear seat who died at the scene.
The other rear passenger, a 32-year-old St Kilda man, was airlifted to The Alfred hospital with an upper body injury and is now in a stable condition.
The driver, a 22-year-old St Kilda man, was taken to Northeast Health Wangaratta with minor injuries and in a stable condition.
The sole occupant of the Kia, a 25-year-old Rowville man, was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for upper body injuries and is currently in a stable condition.
He is expected to be interviewed at a later date in relation to the incident.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigation remains ongoing.
