The partner of one of the Australian men shot in Bali has told how the terrifying incident unfolded, as Bali police reveal Australian Federal Police have joined the investigation.

Australian Federal Police have has joined the investigation into the shooting of two Australian men in Bali.

One of the two men died and the other was injured in the shooting that occurred in their Balinese villa.

Bali Police Chief Inspector General said today that investigators were working with the AFP on the case. He said that because the case involved foreigners, it required a multi-agency approach.

As of now, our team are still working on it,” he said.

“We have co-ordinated with the Immigration, the Australian Federal Police, the forensic team and many other institutions to uncover the case.”

Witnesses have described the terrifying moment two Australian men were shot, one fatally, in their Balinese villa.

A suspected gunman, with an Australian accent, was heard shouting, “I can’t start my bike” as he attempted to flee the scene on a scooter.

Zivan Radmanovic, 32, from Melbourne died and Sanar Ghanim, 34, also from Melbourne, were injured in the attack at Munggu in Bali’s Badung Regency on Friday night, local police confirmed.

The partner of Mr Ghanim told police she woke to find a man wearing a green jacket, a dark mask and a dark helmet.

She told police she heard gunshots and ran from the villa, where she saw two small motorbikes parked outside.

The woman then went to the main road to seek help and was escorted back to the villa to find the police had arrived.

Local police earlier confirmed the drama unfolded in a villa.

“A shooting incident has happened. There are two victims, both Australian nationals,” Badung Police chief Arif Batubara said.

He said the victim died at the scene and the second man was being treated in hospital.
