Dramatic footage has emerged of the moment police officers used tasers and a baton on a woman accused of trying to set a petrol station alight in Windsor.
Police were called to a 7-Eleven on Punt Rd at about 12.30am on Wednesday following reports a woman had lit a fire inside the service station.
The woman — allegedly armed with an accelerant — was filmed by onlookers as police yelled at her to “get on the ground” while drawing their tasers.
After the woman allegedly failed to comply with police orders, footage shows an officer rushing at the 46-year-old woman and striking her outside the entrance of the service station.
The woman was filmed running from officers before they quickly caught her and appeared to strike her again with a baton.
The alleged arsonist was then filmed curled up on the ground as police tasered her near the petrol bowsers.
The woman had allegedly also assaulted a service station attendant before the dramatic arrest.
The 46-year-old Windsor woman was charged with damage by fire, theft, resisting police and unlawful assault.
She has since been bailed and is set to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on May 2.
