Footage has emerged of a dramatic run-in between a driver, his passenger and a group of young bike and scooter riders in the centre of Melbourne.
Video footage posted to Instagram shows an altercation between two men and what appears to be a young boy before a group on bikes and scooters swarm in to break up the brawl.
It is not clear what triggered the altercation although the footage later shows the side mirror of the car the men were travelling in smashed.
“Break it up, break it up,” the person recording says, before pushing one of the men from the car away from the boy.
“Get off him, f---ing d---head,” he says.
The group is seen picking up their scooters and bikes off the footpath as they yell at the two men to get back in their car, which was stopped in the middle of the street near Flinders Street Station.
“Get in your f---ing car, you f---ing w------,” one yells.
“Bro’s going to the police, yeah? You’re f---ing done,” he says while filming their number plate.
“F--- off c---!”
The footage then cuts to the two men driving away before the group catch up to them stopped in traffic.
“Tryna fight some kids, ay,” the person recording pokes at the men.
The men, seated in their car, point to their broken car mirror as they reply “you just f---ed up our shit” and tell the rider off for swerving across the road.
“It’s not a bike lane out in the middle of the f---ing tram tracks,” he says.
Someone off camera then opens the rear car door before the men speed off, one of the men in the car yelling “you’re f---ing dead c---”.
The youth riding their bikes catch up with the car again, one yelling “You got f---ed up by a sixteen year old!”
One of the group is then seen smashing the back of the car, before another jumps on the boot.
The group shout and encourage their mates as they run into the vehicle.
One of the men then jumps out of the car to chase after one of the alleged offenders before the footage cuts off.
The account where the video appeared regularly posts videos of youth cyclists causing chaos on Melbourne streets, with bikers riding across tram tracks, in the middle of intersections and into oncoming traffic.
The videos of the young bikers, which also show them running from and arguing with police, have racked up millions of views on Instagram.
