A teenager has been charged after he allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old boy in the stomach in Melbourne’s west.
Police said the boy was allegedly stabbed on Bennett St in Bacchus Marsh about 11.20am on November 16 after an argument broke out between a group of boys.
It’s understood the alleged attack involved local high school students but it’s unclear what sparked the altercation.
A 17-year-old teen was arrested and charged with intentionally causing injury, reckless conduct endangering life and use of a controlled weapon without a lawful excuse.
He was remanded in custody to appear before a children’s court.
It comes as disturbing footage circulated on social media of the boy allegedly being chased and stabbed.
In the graphic video, a person is seen chasing the boy and yelling “why the f--- are you running?” multiple times while filming the attack.
The boy falls to the ground before he clutches his stomach and yells “stop” and “oh f---” in agony.
The boy was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
It’s believed the alleged stabbing was uploaded to Snapchat but later deleted.
A friend of the alleged victim said her mate was a “nice boy”.
“The victim is a nice boy that cares a lot for his friends and family and doesn’t go out hurting people,” she wrote on social media.
“He doesn’t deserve this.”
