The estranged mother of Australian pop star Vanessa Amorosi is pleading with her daughter to let her meet her grandson and “be one big happy family”, despite losing a bitter property dispute with her famous daughter.

The Melbourne-born singer launched legal action against her mother Joyleen Robinson, seeking sole ownership of two properties – one in Narre Warren and the other in California.

Last month, Supreme Court Justice Steven Moore ruled in Ms Amorosi’s favour - meaning her mother now faces eviction from the Narre Warren home.

Speaking to the Herald Sun ahead of the case returning to court on Wednesday, Ms Robinson said she hoped the lengthy legal feud would reunite her family.

“I still hope something good will come from this,” she said.

“The outcome I would like is for everyone to be happy and be one big family.

“Before Vanessa went to America, our family was united, we were very close and did everything together.”

Despite not speaking to her daughter for more than a decade, Ms Robinson said she wanted to meet her eight-year-old grandson Killian.

“I would love to have contact with my daughter and my grandson.

“I haven’t even met him yet, it’s a bit sad but it’s life.

“I’m just hoping we can work something out that’s good for all of us.”

Following a lengthy trial which saw Ms Amorosi fly from her home in LA to give evidence against her mother, Justice Moore last month found Ms Robinson’s claim for sole ownership of the Boundary Rd property had failed.

But the case is set to return to court on Wednesday with plans for Ms Robinson to hand over control of the two properties delayed as lawyers continue to negotiate the terms of the agreement.

Ms Robinson said she loved her daughter and would never do “anything to defame her”.

“I’m not going to bag my daughter out because I love her to pieces and I still think she is the best singer in Australia,” she said.

“My kids are the most important thing in my life and I’m very sorry that all this has happened.”

Ms Amorosi was ordered to pay her mum more than $850,000 in restitution including the purchase price of $650,000 plus $219,486 in interest.

The property is now worth just over $2m, local real estate agents say.

Last week, Justice Moore warned if the pair could not “get to grips” on the Narre Warren property handover, he would make the orders himself.

“If they can’t agree on those arrangements, my task is to make orders to give effect to the judgement,” he said.

“I encourage parties in their constructive dialogue to come to grips with a manageable arrangement.”

Ms Robinson said she had “no idea” whether an agreement had been reached, having recently returned from a cruise.

“I’ve been away for a little bit of time,” she said.

“At the moment I don’t know anything, I’m not really sure of anything at this stage.”
