Two 16-year-old boys have been charged with assault after a pair of youths was allegedly set upon and stabbed by a group in Melbourne’s west.

Two boys have been charged over an attack in Melbourne’s west in which two youths escaped with their lives.
Police arrested two 16-year-olds on Monday after an alleged stabbing and robbery at Baden Powell Drive in Tarneit on July 27.
It’s alleged the victims were attacked by up to eight offenders.
The alleged attackers sped off in a dark-coloured vehicle.
The pair has been charged assault with weapon, affray, armed robbery, recklessly causing injury and cannabis possession.
They have been remanded to appear at children’s court later this year.
This comes after a 20-year-old male was arrested in Melbourne’s west last week.
Officers from Alliance Task Force issued an arrest warrant in Aintree and a man was arrested and charged with armed robbery and recklessly causing serious injury.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
