It comes a day after Rupert Murdoch visited the firebombed synagogue, paying his respects to the Jewish community and vowing “we will always stand against” the hatred of anti-Semitism.

The Chairman Emeritus of News Corp and Fox Corporation and his wife, Elena Zhukova, toured the gutted Ripponlea synagogue on Thursday, six days on from an arson attack that forced worshippers to flee in terror.

Earlier in the week, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese made a chaotic appearance at the site, where he toured the ruined building before being heckled by a crowd outside.
