Top Victoria Police public servant Susan Delroi has become the latest senior figure to depart the force.
Ms Delroi has served as the deputy secretary for corporate and regulatory services since being appointed in 2018.
A member of executive command, she was a key figure in the recently concluded workplace deal and has been involved in a major organisational review of the force.
A Victoria Police spokesman said Ms Delroi had played a crucial role and given “exceptional service and leadership.”
“This has included helping put Victoria Police on a more sustainable financial footing, negotiating the recent police enterprise agreement and supporting the force’s appearance at numerous parliamentary inquiries,” the spokesman said.
She will finish on May 9 and intends to move to country Victoria.
Ms Delroi’s resignation comes after some high-level changes within the force in recent months.
In February, Chief Commissioner Shane Patton resigned after being told by the state government that his contract would not be renewed.
One of his deputies, Neil Paterson, was moved on soon after in a shock decision.
