Bikie boss Toby Mitchell has antagonised police after he escaped conviction in court on Wednesday.
The Mongols president was slapped with a $2500 fine for his involvement in two separate street attacks, including one where he was knocked out by a homeless man.
Mitchell boasted online about his “victory” in court despite having to undertake several anger management and alcohol awareness programs.
“Just a waste of courts (sic) time,” he said of Wednesday’s proceedings.
“Better luck next time gang squad.”
He accompanied the comments with four emojis of a dog.
Mitchell wasn’t happy with media reports of his “victory” either.
“That’s a little write up,” he said of the Herald Sun’s print article.
“When it happened it was front page breaking news LOL.”
Mitchell has been enjoying his time in lockdown, ordering expensive takeaway meals from top Melbourne restaurants the Flowerdrum and Asado.
On Thursday he appeared to be enjoying the sun with his dog, taking it for a walk and a swim at the beach.
MITCHELL FINED FOR WILD BRAWL WITH HOMELESS MAN
Bikie boss Toby Mitchell has promised to be on his best behaviour for the next six months after being sentenced for two separate street attacks, including one in which he was knocked out by a homeless man.
The Mongols chief was slapped with a $2500 fine but escaped conviction after spending the last several months attending anger management courses and alcohol awareness programs.
Mitchell pleaded guilty to counts of unlawful assault in January over the ugly brawls in Southbank and South Yarra last year.
In November, the former kickboxing champion was knocked unconscious after getting into a biffo with an unknown man on the Southbank Promenade in the early hours of the morning.
An earlier bail application heard Mitchell’s mates tried to hold the burly bikie back as he threw a series of punches to the face and uppercuts to the victim’s gut near the Sandridge Bridge at 3am.
But the unknown male swung back and landed a punch to Mitchell’s face, knocking him unconscious.
His own lawyer conceded the Mongols’ president “came off second best” during the incident which lasted about 40 seconds.
Mitchell was already on bail at the time over another drunken assault on a man outside Gilson cafe on Domain Rd in South Yarra a month earlier.
During the spat, Mitchell slapped the victim three times with an open hand, with his lawyer Damian Sheales labelling it “the most minor incident ever”.
“(The victim) doesn’t even lose the beer he is holding,” Mr Sheales said.
Magistrate John Bentley on Wednesday sentenced Mitchell to a six month good behaviour bond for both offences.
Mr Bentley asked Mitchell, who appeared remotely from his lawyer’s office wearing a white collared shirt, if he agreed to the conditions of the bond.
“Yes, your honour,” he said.
Mr Bentley concluded the hearing by telling Mitchell: “I hope you stay out of trouble”.
