Teenage girl charged over alleged stabbing of shopping centre security guard in night of violence

A 17-year-old girl accused of stabbing a security guard in the stomach before allegedly stabbing another girl “several times” has been arrested after a violent fight at Pacific Epping shopping centre.

A teenage girl accused of stabbing a shopping centre security guard who attempted to break up a fight has been arrested and charged by police.

Three teenage girls allegedly became involved in an ugly brawl at Pacific Epping before police were called about 9.20pm on Friday night.

A young security guard attempted to intervene before a knife was allegedly plunged into his stomach by one of the brawling teens.

Detectives allege the girl then chased the two other teenagers and stabbed one of them “several times” before she fled the High St shopping hub.

One of the girls, 14, and the security guard, a 19-year-old Lalor man, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Detectives on Saturday morning executed a search warrant where a 17-year-old girl was taken into custody.

She has since been charged with intentionally cause serious injury, recklessly cause serious injury, recklessly cause injury, affray, assault with weapon and unlawful assault.

The 17-year-old is due to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

It was one of two known knife incidents across the suburbs over the weekend.

A group of masked thugs filmed themselves mercilessly beating a defenceless boy laying on the ground before slashing him with a machete.

Footage shows the teenage boy standing in a park as at least two rivals surround him, one holding a huge machete to his face, before he is cowardly punched in the back of the head.

The victim drops to the ground as the armed group begin kicking him to the head.

He is struck about 10 times in just a few seconds before he is pinned to the ground and punched in the face more than 20 times.

One of the offenders steals the victim’s phone as he desperately tries to cover his face to stem the brutal blows.

He appears to be begging for the thugs to stop, raising his hands in the air to surrender.

This is when a huge machete is swung at the victim’s arm, creating a huge knife wound almost instantly.

The horrific social media clip ends with the victim squirming in pain on a footpath.

“We want blood”, “get pumped” and “nearly lost a (sic) arm” were some of the captions posted by the person filming the onslaught.

It is not known where the alleged fracas occurred but it is understood to have taken place on Thursday or Friday night.
