Police have seized drugs at a “problematic” St Kilda property previously linked to drug dealing.
Officers stormed an apartment complex on Octavia St about 8am on Tuesday where they allegedly uncovered the drugs.
Three people, including two 44-year-old men and a 37-year-old woman, were arrested at the weathered multi-level complex and are helping police with their inquiries.
It is not yet known what substances officers discovered, or their quantities.
Eight police cars surrounded the apartment building and investigators remained onsite talking to nearby residents for further information.
One resident said: “Police are door knocking everyone.”
“They (police) arrested three of them and said the search was ‘fruitful’.”
The Herald Sun understands that almost 40 used syringes were also uncovered in adjoining Prahran Housing properties.
It comes after the Herald Sun revealed in November residents were “terrified” amid fears of violence, drug use and theft.
Neighbours at the time said police had attended properties on Octavia St and neighbouring streets on several occasions.
Residents also remained concerned about drug use at several other St Kilda properties, including a rundown Alma Rd dwelling.
In a letter to local residents, Victoria Police said they had received “ongoing reports of criminal and antisocial activity in your immediate area”.
Investigators called on neighbours to supply CCTV and detailed descriptions of the alleged offenders.
