A rehab worker has been charged over the same Melbourne-based international drug smuggling bust that entangled socialite Anthony “Hot Mess” Hess.

A rehab worker has been charged over the same Melbourne-based international drug smuggling bust that has entangled socialite Anthony “Hot Mess” Hess.

Christopher Noti’s social media profile says he has previously worked for a range of agencies over many years as a drug and mental health counsellor.

But he is facing charges laid by detectives from a major Australian Federal Police-Victoria

Police joint operation dubbed Rhyolite.

Rhyolite investigated information a crime syndicate was smuggling 15kg of drugs per consignment out of the US and Europe.

Hess is charged with trying to import 4kg of methamphetamine, 4kg of cocaine and 1kg of ketamine into Australia.

Hess is charged with trying to import 9kg of drugs.

The importations were allegedly made via air cargo in lots of 15kg per consignment.

Mr Noti has in the past described himself as involved in addiction and mental health treatment and as a “forensic assessor”.

It is not known whether Mr Noti has any link to Mr Hess, a flamboyant party boy who is charged with trying to import 4kg of methamphetamine, 4kg of cocaine and 1kg of ketamine into Australia.

Mr Noti, 43, and Mr Hess are among six people charged by officers from Rhyolite.

It was revealed in June this year that the operation had seized 35kg of cocaine from air cargo.

It was allegedly found in consignments of marker pens and mini-smoker machines flown into Melbourne.

Mr Noti will appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later this month.
