A man has been charged over the murder of Melton man Shane Cox.
Klay Holland, 30 from Delahey, was arrested in the Docklands on Monday afternoon.
He was charged with the murder of 39-year-old Shane Cox, whose body was found wrapped in a blanket in a Fay St home in Melton about 11am on March 17.
He appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday evening and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
Mr Cox, from Melton, had reportedly been tortured for a sustained period prior to his death.
Residents reported seeing a shirtless man acting suspiciously in Fay St around the time of the murder.
The Herald Sun understands the Fay St property is occupied by several people, including young children.
Children’s toys could be seen on the property and a threat on the mailbox which read: “IM Guna Get U”.
