Five police cars have been damaged in two separate crashes across Melbourne on Sunday night.

A hoon on his P-plates was first caught performing burnouts on Frankston-Dandenong Rd about 3.40am by a traffic camera operator in Frankston.

When officers arrived, the 21-year-old allegedly reversed into one police vehicle before losing control and smashing into another two.

The Cranbourne West man was arrested and allegedly blew more than double the legal blood alcohol limit.

A small amount of cocaine was also located in the man’s badly damaged vehicle.

The 21-year-old was charged with 11 offences including reckless conduct endangering life, recklessly endangering emergency service worker by dangerous driving, drink-driving and intentional loss of traction.

No one was injured during the incident.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man was travelling along La Trobe St about 10pm on Sunday when he lost control and allegedly struck two Australian Federal Police vehicles in Melbourne’s CBD.

The Taylors Lakes man was arrested after hitting the two unoccupied parked cars.

Police searched his vehicle and allegedly located weapons and about $4000.

Melbourne Highway Patrol slapped the 28-year-old with 13 charges including possessing drugs of dependence without prescription, drug-driving, careless driving, driving while disqualified, using an unregistered motor vehicle, dealing property suspected proceeds of crime and possessing prohibited weapons without exemption.

He will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
