Two men injured in nasty brawl in Toorak

A man was rushed to hospital after a nasty fight erupted on a busy street in Toorak in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A man was rushed to hospital after a wild brawl erupted in an inner suburb of Melbourne.

Emergency services were called to Toorak Rd in Toorak about 4.20am on Sunday after reports of an incident.

It’s understood two men were injured during a rowdy fight that involved multiple people.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a man in his 30s suffered from upper body injuries and was taken to the Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

Police said the exact circumstances of the brawl were unclear and the investigation remains ongoing.

Wandong shooting

A man was flown to hospital after a suspected firearms incident in Wandong, about 50km north of Melbourne.

Paramedics were called to a “report of an incident” about 12.15pm on Saturday.

A 39-year-old Wandong man was assessed for upper body injuries.

He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It is understood the incident occurred in Wandong Ave.

Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating the shooting.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined, however investigators believe that the incident is not related to any other recent firearms incidents,” a police statement said.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Death at Port Melbourne beach

A man’s body was found on Port Melbourne beach on Saturday morning.

The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was found in shallow water adjacent to The Boulevard about 7.30am.

“The exact circumstances are being investigated, but the death is not believed to be suspicious,” a police spokeswoman said.

Victoria Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
