A person has been charged over the death of man inside a Noble Park home.

Homicide detectives charged a 30-year-old man, of no fixed address, with murder.

He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday night.

Earlier two men were being questioned over the death, which occurred in the early hours of Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to the Lesley Grove house about 1am after reports of an assault.

Paramedics found a man critically injured and tried to revive him, but he died at the scene.

A 24-year-old Officer man, who was questioned by police, has been released without charge.

Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.

Mario, who has lived in the street since he was five years old, said he was horrified by the death.

“It’s very unusual to see police investigating a murder in my street,” he said.

“I’m very sad someone has lost their life in there, I’m shocked.”

He said a woman owned the building and rented it out.

Another neighbour, who did not wish to be identified, said she did not really know what had happened but heard screams last night.
