A Mongols bikie has been charged by Echo Taskforce detectives over an alleged armed robbery in country Victoria.
The 24-year-old of no fixed address was arrested by members of the special operations group in a carpark in the Ballarat suburb of Wendouree on Thursday.
A search of his vehicle allegedly uncovered drugs and edged weapons.
Investigators then carried out search warrants at two homes in Wendouree and one in Brown Hill.
A 27-year-old Wendouree man was arrested at one of the Wendouree properties where GHB and what police say were several prohibited weapons were seized.
The 24-year-old man, who police say is a patched member of the Mongols, was charged with armed robbery, assault, theft from a motor vehicle, failing to answer bail, failing to notify a change of address regarding a firearm prohibition order, possession of GHB and possessing a controlled weapon.
The 27-year-old was charged with possessing a drug of dependence and weapons offences.
Police said the arrests stemmed from an investigation over an incident on Wednesday in which a woman was confronted by a group of males outside her vehicle on Maple Ave, Wendouree.
Police will allege she was confronted with a knife and then struck to the head, before they stole her registration plates and vehicle wheels.
