It follows the shooting of a 76-year-old man inside his Canterbury Rd home in Middle Park last month and the arrest of a Tarneit and Werribee man earlier this month.
Victoria Police confirmed officers conducted a Firearm Prohibition Search at a property in Ascot Vale on Thursday afternoon, where they located and seized a firearm.

He was charged with allegedly intentionally causing serious injury, being a prohibited person possessing a firearm, possessing drug of dependence and other related offences and will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday night.
The elderly gentleman was shot in the leg when he answered a knock on his front door just before 8pm on August 17.
