A man allegedly stabbed a Crown casino security guard after being ejected from the Southbank complex.
The 43-year-old will face court on Friday over violence that allegedly erupted after security was called to Crown Towers.
The man was escorted downstairs where there was another confrontation on Yarra Promenade.
A knife was allegedly produced and one of the security team stabbed in the shoulder.
Police said a 53-year-old man from Cranbourne was wounded and taken to hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening after the fracas, at 12.40am last Thursday.
A 43-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested at the scene.
The Herald Sun understands he had been previously removed from the complex.
He was charged with intentionally causing injury, making threats to kill and weapons offences.
The charged man will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
