Man dies in truck mishap near Ballarat

A 74-year-old man was working under a truck when it fell on him and crushed him in a horror incident.

A truck has fatally fallen on a man in a town north of Ballarat on Sunday afternoon.

The 74-year-old man was believed to be working underneath the truck when it fell on him in Waubra around 3pm.

Paramedics were called to the incident at Kimberly Drive but were unable to revive the man.

A police spokesperson said the man is yet to be formally identified.

The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
