An illegal casino has been busted operating from a warehouse in Melbourne’s southeast.
Police from the Victoria Police state liquor unit raided the gaming operation which was running out of Blackburn Rd, Notting Hill, last week.
Ten people were allegedly gambling inside when police carried out a search warrant on the night of August 2.
They said gaming tables, cards, poker chips, cash, mobile phones and alcohol were seized.
Police will allege it was a gaming business operating with no licence.
A Clyde North man, 37, was arrested and is expected to be charged on summons with running, advertising and providing a place for unauthorised gambling.
Liquor offence charges are also expected.
Twelve more people have been interviewed.
“The operation forms part of a month-long state liquor unit investigation into illegal gambling and trade of alcohol,” a Victoria Police statement said.
The operation also involved uniform police from Glen Waverley, members of the public order response team, the Victorian Gaming and Casino Control Commission and Monash Council.
