Man charged with murder after woman found dead in Werribee home
A man has been charged with murder after the discovery of a woman’s body in a Werribee home.

A A blood-soaked man who was on bail before he allegedly murdered a woman in a backyard at Werribee will face court on Friday.
Homicide squad detectives on Thursday night charged a 41-year-old man with murder after a woman, 42, was found in the backyardwith several stab wounds.
Emergency services rushed to the Retford Close home just after 9am on Thursday morning where the alleged murderer was takeninto custody.
The woman could not be saved.
It was understood Mr Tumaliuan was out on bail for other offences when he was arrested, but the Herald Sun has since confirmed that was not the case.
Investigators believe the man and woman knew one another.
Police had reportedly been called to the property on several occasions.
It is believed the pair shared a child.
The Werribee man has been charged with one count of murder and is due to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Both ends of Retford Close remained cordoned off by police tape late on Thursday afternoon.
Detectives could be seen gathered outside a single storey house across the road from a primary school.
Resident Darren Fudyma said the local school community would have been shaken by the incident.
“The kids will now be traumatised,” he said.
“It’s very strange to have that happen in this area with the school nearby.
“It’s a big shock … there is really no need for that type of behaviour.”
Sam, who moved into his new Retford Close home with his partner just the day before the woman was allegedly murdered, saidhe was shocked to find his new home surrounded by police tape.
“We just bought a house here and it’s not a great reputation, but it was okay. Now, my expectation is a bit down,” he said.
Another nearby resident said she had not heard the incident unfold, only becoming aware of the woman’s death as she walkedout of her home to find police cars parked outside.
Other neighbours saw a police helicopter circling above the home.
The nature of the man’s previous alleged offending remains unclear.
