A man and a woman are expected to be charged after allegedly breaking into accused triple murderer Erin Patterson’s Leongatha property on Christmas Eve.

The accused thieves stole Ms Patterson’s red MG sedan on December 24 before they were arrested in the vehicle about 1am in Cheltenham four days later.

The 23-year-old Cheltenham woman and 18-year-old Cheltenham man are expected to be charged on summons to appear at a magistrates’ court at a later date.

Meanwhile, Ms Patterson’s friend said her two-storey home had been allegedly raided at least three times in the past month with another break in occurring on Christmas Day.

It’s believed multiple items including TVs and vacuum cleaners were stolen, with CCTV cameras also removed.

A man was captured on Ms Patterson’s porch wearing a black jumper, mask and cap.

“We have had a friend’s house broken into in Leongatha three times over the last month or so, last time being Christmas morning,” the friend claimed on social media.

“I have finally been able to retrieve CCTV footage from the second time they broke into the property and removed all the outside cameras.

“Police caught a couple of offenders from the first burglary where they stole a heap of things and we are now thinking they took all spare keys, car keys that were not retrieved by the police at the time.

“They have obviously passed the keys on to mates to come and go from the house as they please.”

It’s unclear whether family or friends are residing at Ms Patterson’s home while she is in prison at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.

The mother of two was charged with three counts of murder and five of attempted murder following the deaths of her former in-laws.

Don and Gail Patterson and Gail’s sister Heather Wilkinson died after Ms Patterson cooked them a beef wellington dish at her Leongatha home on July 29.

Another relative, local pastor Ian Wilkinson, was in a critical condition in hospital for two months after the meal.
