Gangland strongman Mark Balsillie has turned crime fighter.
Balsillie has hit social media to look for a Mercedes-Benz SL400 stolen from his sister-in-law, Scarlet Vasiljevic.
Vasiljevic is a social media influencer with 250,000 followers.
She is also known for playing police officer Mishti Sharma in Neighbours, acting under the name Scarlett Vas.
The two-door convertible Merc, registration AER-200, was stolen at about 6.50am on Friday from Bentleigh, in Melbourne’s southern suburbs.
Former Mongol OMCG member Balsillie has used his Instagram account to appeal for help from the public to find the luxury vehicle.
A reward is on offer.
Balsillie has previously been upset about a car going missing, but that time it was in different circumstances.
Echo taskforce detectives seized his Lamborghini during a sweep of raids in 2020 aimed at the Mongols.
Balsillie was one of those to leave the Mongols earlier this year in a wave of departures which followed leadership changes.
He is a good mate of Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim, who was shot at Fawkner in June this year.
