A senior Finks bikie has fronted court over the alleged stabbing of a former club member in Dandenong earlier this month.
Victorian Finks sergeant-at-arms, John Pahoumidis, 31 and co-accused bikie, Lee Martin, 46, were charged with intentionally causing serious injury through gross violence after a man was stabbed at an Egan Road factory on March 6.
During a bail application at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, police allege a former Finks member who’d left the club on good terms just weeks prior was stabbed by Mr Pahoumidis and Mr Martin.
Another man who was at the scene was also charged with weapons prohibited weapons offences.
The victim, aged in his 30s, spent several days in ICU with a lung puncture and spinal and rib fractures.
He refused to provide a police statement but CCTV captured the attack, revealing the accused bikies blocked the man’s car in after he reversed into the factory’s driveway.
“It appears the offenders have been keeping surveillance on the factory and waited for the victim to return,” Detective Senior Constable Tamika Butters told the court.
Following a short conversation, the man was allegedly bashed and hit with a metal stand in what Detective Butters called a “frenzied attack”.
When the man ran away, the attackers caught up and allegedly stabbed him.
Mr Pahoumidis was identified in the footage from his distinctive tattoos and haircuts.
He was arrested by Echo Taskforce detectives on Wednesday.
Search warrants were executed at properties in Springvale, Cranbourne East, Dandenong and Hillside, with number of items seized including methamphetamine, cocaine, steroids, nun-chucks and other weapons.
Mr Pahoumidis appeared via video link from custody and sat motionless during the hearing.
He was refused bail and will front court again at a later date.
