An accused Mongols strongman faces losing a home amid a series of financial hits from authorities.

The Commonwealth Bank has served a County Court writ against Cobram businessman Joshua Eddy over a loan on a property in his hometown.

Police have alleged Mr Eddy – who is facing high-level drug trafficking charges – has served as sergeant-at-arms for the Mongols outlaw motorcycle gang in the state’s north.

The CBA wants $228,390 it says it is owed on a home loan for a property at Ellen Drive, Cobram.

The writ said it had demanded Mr Eddy pay loan arrears or the bank would repossess and sell it.

Mr Eddy has already lost a number of other assets frozen by authorities following an investigation into his activities by the Victoria Police Echo taskforce.

They have included a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a 2016 Range Rover.

Court documents show a 2017 Holden Colorado and more than $30,000 in cash have been restrained as part of the same operation.

Also under wraps are a gold Mongols signet ring, a Rolex watch and a gold bracelet.

All were seized by police in July 2021.

The Westpac Bank has been granted the right to sell the Range Rover.

The process has involved Department of Justice prosecutors using the Confiscation Act.

Mr Eddy is a long-time resident and business operator at Cobram, a town of 6000 people on the banks of the Murray River.

He had previously operated the Cartel auto detailing business in Colgan St.

A motorcycle was taken away from Cartel on the back of a truck after Mr Eddy was arrested as part of a wide-ranging police operation two years ago.
