Champion jockey Danny Nikolic and troubled lawyer Pat Lennon have been charged over a burglary in Carlton.
The pair were allegedly arrested at the Berkeley St scene last Thursday morning.
Police said a witness saw two men breaking into a townhouse property at about 2am and called Triple Zero.
Officers arrived soon after and they were arrested.
Nikolic and Lennon were later charged over the incident.
“The 61-year-old Sandringham man and 50-year-old Port Melbourne man were both interviewed and charged with burglary and theft,” a Victoria Police statement said.
They will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on March 25.
Nikolic rode multiple Group One winners and was once one of the leading lights of the racing industry.
Lennon is a former high-flying lawyer who counted Mick Gatto and Nikolic among his clients.
