Violent brawls erupted outside of Marvel Stadium following George Kambosos Jr’s championship bout on Sunday, showing fans eagerness for a fight both inside and outside the ring.
Shocking videos captured angry fans trading heavy blows just moments after the Australian boxer lost his three world title belts to Devin Haney.
In one video, a man is knocked to the pavement as brawlers continue to swing punches at each other. In a separate incident, a number of men were captured fighting each other in front of a large number of spectators.
Victoria Police said they were aware of the violent altercations outside of the stadium.
“Those involved in that incident left the scene before police arrived and no victim has come forward at this time,” a police spokesperson said.
“Unfortunately, there were a few disappointing incidents with police arresting an intoxicated male who was being evicted and found to be in possession of drugs.”
The violence comes just one week after footy fans were captured brawling on Punt Road in Richmond last week.
A man was also bashed with a didgeridoo outside of the MCG following the AFL’s Dreamtime match.
