Man charged after footy fans brawl on busy Punt Rd after Collingwood vs Carlton clash
One man has been charged following the wild brawl that saw footy fans kick and punch each other in the middle of traffic outside the MCG.

A 32-year-old Aintree man has been charged following a wild brawl between footy fans on Punt Road last Sunday.
The police were called to the busy intersection after a passer-by reported several men fighting on the road at 7.30pm.
The arrested man has been charged with one count of affray.
He has been bailed since to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 26 October.
Inquiries into the incident remain ongoing and detectives anticipate other people could face charges in coming days.
Graphic video emerged of a wild brawl between footy fans in Richmond, which spilt out into a busy intersection near the MCG.
The video, posted on Sunday night, showed a group of men fighting viciously on Punt Rd, across the road from Yarra Park and the MCG where Collingwood had earlier played Carlton.
One man was hit in the head and floored before his attackers launched a series of punches and kicks to another man’s head and body, all while several vehicles drove through the intersection.
Police were called to Punt Rd, near the intersection of Wellington Parade, after a passer-by reported a number of men fighting on the road at 7.30pm.
Officers spoke to a number of men in the vicinity of the reported brawl and recorded their details.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said officers patrolled the area but were unable to locate a victim.
“At this stage, police haven’t received a formal report of an assault but appeal for anyone who was involved and or anyone who may have been injured in the incident to please come forward,” she said.
The vision of the assault has been provided to police and is being looked at as part of the investigation.
The video was posted by Jacqui Felgate to Instagram after the Collingwood and Carlton match on Sunday afternoon.
It comes after a 26-year-old man was charged for allegedly bashing a footy fan with a didgeridoo outside the MCG after last weeks Dreamtime clash. Other incidents included a police officer being bitten, another assaulted and more than 50 fans evicted from the match.
