The Glen Eira College student that was allegedly abducted and assaulted has come out of a six day coma but could face severe life-changing injuries.

Benjamin, 14, was allegedly pulled into a stolen car and dragged along Neerim Rd, Glen Huntly for about 150m before he was run over on September 4.

He has suffered significant brain and spinal injuries which could impact his sight, speech and memory and remains at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

The car was driven by a group of teenagers that were allegedly involved in an unrelated incident at Caulfield earlier that day.

One of the teens, a 15 year old boy, applied for bail at children’s court on Tuesday.

The application was opposed by police on the basis the boy would pose an “extremely serious level of danger”, reported by 7News.

It was also reported that the boy who fronted court was living in a stolen BMW when he was arrested.

The boy will learn whether he will be allowed out on bail when a Magistrate delivers a verdict on Wednesday.
