Safety fears over rail crossing removals

A LABOR-aligned union has hit out at the safety procedures of the Andrews Government showpiece $8 billion level crossing removal project, saying “dodgy concrete panels” have been used on job sites.

Militant union racks up court fines

A MILITANT Victorian building union racked up more than $1.1 million in court fines last year, as it has emerged the state leads the country in illegal building activity.

Setka banned from $100m wharf picket

UNION hard man John Setka and other CFMEU members have been banned from picketing at Melbourne’s wharf. It comes after revelations the sacked wharfie at the centre of the picket has bikie links and is one of Toby Mitchell’s closest pals.

CFMEU pressured company to sign EBA: Court

CFMEU state boss Michael Ravbar allegedly ordered underlings to stop machinery from working on projects worth a combined $1.9 billion because the company that owned it didn’t have a union agreement.
