AVILIUS

SuperCoach price: $450,000

Made a promising return with a fast-closing fourth before finishing second-last in the Group 1 George Main Stakes – the race he won last year – by more than five lengths. He hasn’t won in nine starts now and will continue to be a hardluck case with his get-back pattern.

DREAMFORCE

SuperCoach price: $450,000

The frontrunner has been hit and miss this campaign. The eight-year-old flopped terribly first-up before bouncing back to win the Tramway Stakes, then had nothing left in the tank in the George Main Stakes. At this stage of his career he probably doesn’t run out a strong mile.

SAVATIANO

SuperCoach price: $425,000

The six-year-old mare is too inconsistent. She dug deep to win the Group 2 P.B. Lawrence Stakes first-up at Caulfield but was disappointing next start when eighth in the Let’s Elope Stakes over the same distance. Admittedly, she had a setback in between but there doesn’t appear to be many suitable races for her coming up.

LE ROMAIN

SuperCoach price: $450,000

Beat flashy grey Chautauqua in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes three years ago and nearly knocked off top colt Trapeze Artist in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes a year later. He’s no longer the threat he was at his peak.

MIZZY

SuperCoach price: $400,000

She was dominant last spring with a hat-trick of wins in the Toy Show Quality, Sheraco Stakes and Golden Pendant before two thirds in the Silver Eagle and Golden Eagle. She pulled a muscle in the Golden Eagle and subsequently missed the autumn carnival. Ran 14th of 16 in her comeback in the Sheraco last week. She’ll need to show some improvement next start.

NETTOYER

SuperCoach price: $400,000

The pizza-loving mare caused an epic boilover at $41 in the Group 1 Doncaster in April. She struggled to make much ground in her return in the Chelmsford Stakes so another fairytale is probably beyond the seven-year-old’s reach this prep.

FASIKA

SuperCoach price: $375,000

There was massive hype ahead of her return in the Sheraco Stakes but she could manage only eighth. Trainer Joe Pride will bypass this Saturday’s Golden Pendant because of her poor Rosehill record but that means taking on heavyweights Nature Strip, Classique Legend and Gytrash next week in a last-ditch bid for an Everest slot.

DAWN PASSAGE

SuperCoach price: $300,000

The stable concedes the beaten Stradbroke favourite is on a “tight” timeline to be primed for the Golden Eagle. His recent trial was only fair.

KINANE

SuperCoach price: $200,000

It’s well-documented his owners knocked back up to $3 million for the gelding after his brilliant Frank Packer Plate win in April He’s made an inglorious start to his campaign with a fifth, 10th and 13th while getting beaten by bigger margins with each run.

RUBISAKI

SuperCoach price: $250,000

This could turn out to be a completely wrong call. After an unbeaten autumn campaign – which created some interest from Everest slot holders – her six-race winning streak came to end with a disappointing 10th at Caulfield. Her Golden Eagle prospects will became clearer when she runs at Flemington next week.
