Has been improved by three runs from a spell and did well to beat Allergic in the Randwick City Stakes over 2000m at Randwick two weeks ago. Promising stayer who will appreciate getting out to 2400m for the Manion Cup. Drawn the one barrier and should get all the favours. The track conditions should not bother him as he is a soft track winner overseas. He should keep winning.

Was a certainty beaten in the Oakleigh Plate when he just could not obtain a clear crack at the leaders over the concluding stages. Unbeaten twice from two preparations second-up and also undefeated in two starts at this track. There’s plenty to enthuse about him, especially with his paper weight of just 52.5kg today.

The five-year-old has been crying out to win a race this preparation and the booking of Damian Browne just might prove the difference here. He couldn’t chase down Surface Tension last start but meets that horse 2kg better at the weights and should get a good run in transit. Hard to beat.
