Alica Schmidt has been named on the Forbes 30 under 30 list.
The “world’s sexiest athlete” has grown her profile through her on-track activities and her presence as an influencer online.
The 24-year-old jumped the gun and broke the news by posting a message on her Instagram stories.
“This means so much to me,” she wrote for her 3.3 million Instagram followers.
She was celebrated in Forbes’ list as she tunes up her training regime ahead of the new season of athletics meets, The Sun reports.
Forbes’ annual list highlights the entrepreneurial success of a person under the age 30.
The publication estimates its 2022 list is worth more than $1 billion.

The German runner was declared the “World’s sexiest athlete” back in 2017 by Australian magazine Busted Coverage.
However, in an exclusive interview with SunSport Alica revealed she was not a fan of the tag.
She said: “This title doesn’t mean anything to me.
“It’s based on a subjective opinion of someone else judging the appearance of a person. I like to think that beauty comes from the inside!”
She has also shown this year that she deserves to be recognised for her athletic endeavours as much as her success away from the track.
She was seen in a video in August crying tears of joy after learning that she had been selected to compete at the European Championships held in Munich recently.
After her selection was confirmed, she wrote on Instagram: “Selected for the 400m individuals at the European championships.
“Guys you have no idea what that means to me! That was my main goal this year and I knew it would be everything else but easy to achieve it.
“I’ve worked so hard and gave so many sacrifices in the past month to get to run in Munich in front of a home crowd.
“To achieve this goal now is the best feeling ever and I‘m beyond happy.
“Cheers to the most special race of my career so far can‘t wait.”
She went on to run in Germany’s 4x400m relay where the team finished fifth. She also competed in the heats of the 400m, but finished last. She also competed at the World Championships in Oregon this year.
Schmidt also has an eye on the Paris Olympics in two years.
She said: “I know that I have what it takes and I’m looking forward to going full throttle in the new season.”
Following the summer’s European Athletic Championships she also shared snaps of her holidays abroad, which included Thailand and an appearance at Milan Fashion Week.
Her latest news from Forbes continues her hot streak.
Forbes declares its 30 Under 30 list celebrates the “boldness of youth”.
Every year the publication honours 600 people across multiple categories.
It has traditionally given special attention to the world’s most successful emerging entrepreneurs.
Forbes claims: “The 30 Under 30 offers an annual opportunity to embrace the optimism, inventiveness and boldness of youth.”
