There is another chapter in the running feud between Michael Maguire and Gorden Tallis, after the Queensland coach fired multiple shots at the Blues coach.

On Monday night’s episode of NRL360, Maguire was quizzed about Tallis’ comments following Game II, criticising the Blues’ tactics.

“At the end of the day, they got their own opinions. I guess when you live in glass houses, they tend to throw things,” Maguire told James Hooper in an exclusive interview which aired on NRL360.

“We’re focused on what we’re doing but you take into your memories I suppose about things that happen off the field.

“We had a player walk off the field and certain things were said.”

After the interview was shown, Tallis was asked about Maguire’s remarks, and the former Queensland enforcer didn’t miss, making several digs at the Blues coach.

“How good is it,” Tallis said with a laugh.

“All of us live in glass houses, actually he wouldn’t know he never played Origin. You want me to keep it going?”

Journalist Phil Rothfield chimed in and told Tallis that he is looking forward to seeing him after a Blues win, but the ‘Raging Bull’ quickly hit back.

“I so hope New South Wales win because I’m going to sit here on Thursday week with you on this show. Are you going to be OK,” Rothfield quipped.

“We can take a loss, the funny thing is that you guys can’t,” Tallis retorted.

Tallis wasn’t done with Maguire, referencing his club head coaching stints at the Tigers and Souths.

“You know what, I saw Madge in Melbourne at the airport and I thanked him. It’s so good, it’s refreshing.

“As the Tigers coach he had no personality.

“He might even get sacked from this job. He got sacked from Souths and sacked from the Tigers.”

“Origin Madge is so much better than club Madge,” journalist Brent Read said.

The back-end-forth between the two started three weeks ago following Maguire’s initial ‘glass houses’ dig at the Maroons, which was presumed to be aimed at Maroons coach Billy Slater and his lengthy judiciary history.

Defending Slater, Tallis said Maguire wouldn’t know about players being targeted.

“I played against Madge and he probably was never targeted, no one even knew he was on the field,” Tallis said.
