A pair of fleet-footed teenagers will spice up the Gen Blue U16s attack but their Brumbies opposition have their own dangermen to watch out for in round two of the national U16, U19 rugby championships in Sydney on Sunday.

Country rugby player Charlie Heidke from Nowra and Tom Farr-Jones from Randwick will be injected into the U16 team to take on the Brumbies at Daceyville on Sunday prior to the U19 match played.

And in another change to the team which won their first outing against the Queensland Reds last Sunday, Central Coast talent Matt Humphries from Newington will also play as Cividen explores his squad.

“He will be at five eight and he’s a very good footy player,’’ said coach Paul Cividen.

“He’s a bit of a triple threat with his run, kick and pass. He is a great game controller with a strong kicking game.

“Charlie Heidke from the Illawarra is a track athlete and has a lot of speed. He’s got a lot of athletic potential and in physical in contract as well to go with his speed.

“And Tom Farr-Jones (Newington) will start on the other wing. He’s fast and has very good footwork.

“We have 34 in the squad so 11 boys miss out each week.’'

Cividen said footage of the Brumbies 20-26 first-up loss to Western Force has been studied and analysed.

“They are a very dangerous team will high calibre players,’’ Cividen said.

The Gen Blue coach identified two players who could make life difficult for the Waratahs teens.

“The seven Bailey Bouquianx, is putting a case to be one of the best backrowers in the competitions,’’ Cividen said.

“And Sam Chapman, the No.10, is another quality player (kicking two conversions and two penalties in the opener.

“They haven't started the way they wanted to and I think that makes them a scarier proposition for us, they will be trying to right the ship.

“They also have a good set piece, Brumbies always do.’’

The U16 match will be played at 12.30pm and the U19 match at 2pm.
