Water polo in Australia will create a bigger splash than ever with a new livestreaming deal with KommunityTV bringing the top games in the country right to you. It all starts this weekend.

From our young guns to our elite players striving to make the Olympics and world championships, KommunityTV will have water polo fans and the sport covered like never before.

Water Polo Australia has extended its partnership with News Corp with a new two-year deal bringing more games to your screen than ever before thanks to KommunityTV.

The deal will see the prestigious Australian Water Polo League (AWL), Australian Youth Water Polo Championships (AYWPC) and the National State Championships across various age groups livestreamed across the News Corp Australia’s digital metro and regional mastheads, including The Daily Telegraph, The Herald Sun, The Advertiser, The Mercury, The Courier Mail and The NT News.

In all, more than 270 games from this weekend until next May will be streamed in a major bonanza for water polo and its fans.

The deal will kick off with the U15 and U17 girls Australian state championships starting on Saturday.

“We are thrilled to extend our national partnership with News Corp. Australia across our marquee events the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships and National State Championships as well as the Australian Water Polo League,’’ said Water Polo Australia CEO Richard McInnes.

News Sport Network managing director Michael Wilkins said the deal with Water Polo Australia would deliver more content from the pool across the country.

“It is exciting to partner with WPA again for another season of action, and this year we are stepping it up a notch.

“Our partnership will showcase the top tier athletes in the Australian Water Polo League but, even more importantly, we will get a chance to see the best emerging athletes through the national junior championships with an eye on the Paris Olympics in 2024.

“We look forward to kicking off a big summer season in the pool this weekend with the Under 15 and Under 17 girls national championships.”
