SATURDAY PREVIEW: Old Brighton full of confidence for eliminator

The VAFA Premier Under-19 boys are set to light up the competition when finals action gets underway this weekend.

Two games will be shown LIVE on KommunityTV. Old Brighton and Old Scotch will kick off the weekend on Saturday before the top two sides, Old Xaverians and Williamstown CYMS, play off for a spot in the grand final on Sunday.

Old Xaverians have been the best of the 10 teams this season, having gone almost undefeated until Old Brighton toppled them by 22 points in round 17.

Williamstown CYMS have had the second most wins in the league with 14.

Old Brighton and Old Scotch have had 13 wins each for the year. They will go head to head in the elimination final.

Old Brighton coach Matt McLennan said the win over minor premiers Old Xaverians - in the second last round of the season - was a massive boost for his side.
