A Liam Joyce inspired Salesian College Sunbury has made it back-to-back Herald Sun Shield intermediate boys division 2 premierships.
Sporting a shaved head and bright teal boots, Joyce lit up the grand final with a brilliant performance which included three goals.

He led the way in the 7.2 (44) to 2.3 (15) win over St Ignatius College Geelong in a replay of the 2023 grand final.
A member of the Sunbury Lions at local level, Joyce was everywhere inside his side’s forward 50 with x-factor traits some coaches can only dream of having.
He showed great smarts, with his third goal a clever snap, after picking the ball up cleanly under pressure.
Dylan Romeril was super impressive with two goals as well.

Five schools on the rise across Victoria wioll take to the fields in Casey to battle for the right to be crowned Herald Sun Shield Division 2 champions.
They include Bacchus Marsh Grammar, Luther College, Padua College, Salesian College Sunbury and St Ignatius College Geelong.
The action will be LIVE and EXCLUSIVE to KommunityTV throughout the day. Watch the Field 2 action above and Field 3 below, scroll down to see the full schedule.
Each team will play in four games in a round-robin format with the two highest ranked teams to then face off in a grand final at 1.40pm.
Salesian College will be looking to defend their title after they beat St Ignatius Geelong in last year’s grand final.
Teams will be involved in 2x15 minute halves throughout the day with a five-minute break for halftime.
The grand final will be live streamed through the Oval 2 feed.
