FOUR-PLAY: $200 BETTING STRATEGY

RACE 4: LISTED JIM MOLONEY STAKES (1400m)

$50 win SILMARILLION (1) $2.80

Multiple Group 2-placegetter could not have been more impressive last start at The Valley in the Listed Atlantic Jewel Stakes (1200m) finishing over the top of her rivals with a perfectly-timed ride. Extra distance should not be an issue. Touched off in the Group 2 Silver Shadow (1200m) in Sydney the start before. Up in weight – 1.5kg more than last start – but earned the impost on the back of strong performances. Needed six starts to win a race, placed four times previously, but ready to go on with the job.

RACE 6: BENCHMARK 100 (1100m)

$25 each-way REY MAGNERIO (12) at $7/$2.40

Healthy strike rate, six wins from 12 starts and placed three times. Won over 1100m at Caulfield early in the year, defeated Midtown Boss. Rey Magnerio went from a Pakenham Synthetic maiden victory last year to being placed in the Listed Bel Esprit Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield eight months later, in one campaign with runs spaced accordingly. Earned a shot at the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate and only beaten 2½ lengths. Should be in the money first-up with three jumpouts under the belt.

RACE 7: GROUP 3 MRC FOUNDATION CUP (2000m)

$50 win SAINT GEORGE (15) at $4.40

A good thing just about licked last start at Caulfield in the Listed Heatherlie Stakes (1700m), luckless behind horses and never got the chance to get warm. Drawn low again so could explain the slight drift in the market, $3.90 to $4.40 with Ladbrokes, but trust in jockey Jamie Kah to navigate a path to victory. Could he be the new Caulfield Cup favourite after Saturday? JUST FINE (2) third-up could run a cheeky race.

RACE 8: GROUP 1 UNDERWOOD STAKES (1800m)

$50 win PERICLES (2) at $3.20

Bursting to win a Group 1 and gets his chance here. Timed to the minute to peak third-up after a dominant 1600m win at The Valley last start. First time back at 1800m since his three-year-old season, won the Group 2 Autumn Classic and then touched off in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m). Trainer James Cummings has always had a healthy opinion of the now five-year-old son of Street Boss who looks ready to claim an elusive Group 1 success.

QUADZILLA

LEG 1 - RACE 7

SAINT GEORGE (15) the clear top pick after a luckless run last start. Low draw but with even luck should be right at the pointy end of the field. JUST FINE (2) looks a threat third-up, should take up the trademark Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott pace and be hard to get past late. Respect the market push for IMMEDIACY (16), stayer on the up and should appreciate any cut in the ground. Include POSITIVITY (14), good effort first-up in the Listed Heatherlie Stakes.

1ST LEG: 2, 14, 15, 16

LEG 2 - RACE 8

PERICLES (2) is racing in great heart coming off a dominant last start success at The Valley. The three-time Group 1 runner-up looks ready to breakthrough at the highest level. Group 1-winning European mare PLACE DU CAROUSSEL (11) flies first-up (6: 3-2-0) and has to be respected from the sweet draw. Watch for FAWKNER PARK (7) late and cannot leave out the evergreen VOW AND DECLARE (1), better over further yes but only beaten two lengths in a much stronger Australian Cup (2000m) early in the year.

2ND LEG: 1, 2, 7, 11

LEG 3 - RACE 9

ANGEL CAPITAL (2) could be pretty special actually and certainly hardest to beat. Boasts an electric turn of foot late and from kind draw should be right in the firing line again. Finished over the top of his opposition first-up at The Valley. Sydney colt WANARUAH (5) should take plenty of catching from barrier one. PUBLIC ATTENTION (8) involved in a scrimmage around the turn last start at The Valley and should bounce back hard.

3RD LEG: 2, 5, 8

LEG 4 - RACE 10

A LITTLE DEEP (6) won like a good thing at The Valley last start, benefited from a light weight compared to her opposition but runner-up Arkansaw Kid franked the form line last Saturday at Flemington with a strong win. RED CARD (4) has won three of four starts second-up and should take a power of beating here. Could be a big afternoon for Godolphin. Include EXTRATWO (8) and SEONEE (1), who has placed in three of five starts first-up previously.

4TH LEG: 1, 4, 6, 8

COST $100 FOR 52%

1ST LEG: 2, 15, 16

2ND LEG: 1, 2, 11

3RD LEG: 2, 5

4TH LEG: 4, 6
