Ben Cousins has made a cameo at a Richmond training session at Perth Stadium ahead of the Tigers’ clash with Fremantle.
Cousins was snapped boundary-side as the Tigers trained, accompanied by a child who had a stint kicking the ball with Dustin Martin.
Cousins’ father Bryan was also at training.
Rising Richmond star Sydney Stack posted an Instagram photo alongside the 2005 Brownlow Medallist, with the caption ‘The greatest’ and a love-heart emoji.
Cousins is a 270-game legend of the AFL, the one-time West Coast favourite winning a Brownlow Medal in 2005 and captaining the club. He also played a big part in the club’s 2006 premiership.
His contract was terminated by the Eagles at the end of 2007 with the champion midfielder running foul with his club over recreational drug use.
He was later banned from the AFL for one season after the League commission ruled he had brought the game into disrepute.
Richmond then selected Cousins in the 2008 draft, with the star going on to make 32 appearances for the Tigers in 2009 and 2010.
