CAN ANYONE STOP TOM?

TOM Mitchell looks set to become the fourth favourite in a row to win the Brownlow Medal on Monday night.

The Hawthorn midfielder has firmed this week with TAB from $1.60 to $1.55 to win the award for the best and fairest player of the season.

Mitchell has been comfortably the best backed player throughout the season, with 41 per cent of the single bets, over four times more than the next most supported player, last year’s winner Dustin Martin.

Since 1998, ten out of 20 favourites have won the Brownlow Medal, including five out of the past six seasons.
