WEST Coast ruckman Scott Lycett has added his name to a red-faced list of players who have missed from the goalsquare.

On a night the misfiring Eagles were desperate for goals — they kicked 6.16 in their 28-point loss to Essendon — Lycett produced an effort that will challenge St Kilda’s Tim Membrey for miss of the season.

Lycett’s fresh-air shot on the goal line summed up West Coast’s night.

After Cale Hooker managed to get a hand on Andrew Gaff’s shot at goal, all Lycett had to do was get a toe on the ball, but he missed it completely.
