WAS Tim Membrey simply paying homage to his St Kilda teammate, Josh Bruce?
Early in St Kilda’s clash against Hawthorn in Tasmania, Membrey produced one of the all-time misses.

Running into an open goal, Membrey shanked his kick horribly and hit the post from less than five metres out.
It was almost identical to Bruce’s miss in the same match a year ago.
The embarrassing miss came as the Saints kicked 0.7 to start the game in Launceston, continuing the club’s recent trend of poor accuracy in front of the big sticks.
