Max Gawn’s charity beard auction

FOOTY fans here is your chance to get your hands on some true sporting memorabilia — in the form of Max Gawn’s beard.

Just days after the Demons star posted before and after pictures from the big shave, the hair has been collected, packaged up and signed for a charity eBay auction.

“Melbourne Football Club player Max Gawn has removed his famous beard to raise funds for the Reach Foundation, the official charity of the Melbourne Football Club.

“The beard comes in a bag personally signed by Max and presented in a beautiful presentation box.

“The one-of-a-kind item will become a treasured collector’s item for any AFL or Demons fan.”

Gawn, who is currently sidelined for three months after picking up a hamstring injury, last week visited a barber shop to lose his famous face fuzz. But not before having a little bit of fun with some styling.

First came the ‘French Fork, then a ‘Tied Up Duck Tail’, the ‘Sparrow’ look as made famous by Johnny Depp and finally a good old fashioned ‘Tash.

A short wet shave later and, after two years of growth, the beard was Gawn.
