MAX Gawn is taking ‘the people’s beard’ to the people, asking them to fashion his facial hair.
Gawn will miss three months with a serious hamstring injury and revealed last week he plans to spend his time out of the game playing video games.
Today on social media he will spend some of that time at the barber’s before reappearing late in the season with a bold new look.

We’re not sure exactly what that look will be, and neither is Gawn — asking his Twitter followers to choose from 32 facial hair options.
They include the pencil (a thin moustache), mutton chops (giant bushy sideburns), friendly mutton chops (sideburns plus moustache), chin curtain and beard styles emulating Frank Zappa, Franz Josef and surrealist painter Salvador Dali.
The “sparrow” is an early favourite based on replies to Gawn’s Easter Monday tweet. That design is modelled on Captain Jack Sparrow, Johnny Depp’s character in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.
We’ll keep you updated on the results.
