HALFTIME: Collingwood 3.4 (22) trails Sydney 7.9 (51) at the MCG

A SLUGGISH Collingwood is not working hard enough and on the brink of being blown apart by Sydney at the MCG.

The Swans kicked the last five goals of the first half to thrust 29 points ahead at the main break. Mitch Morton and Adam Goodes botched easy shots, denying the Swans a much bigger lead.

Goodes has been prolific, winding back the clock and racking up 17 first-half disposals. He also slotted his 400th career goal tonight.

Scott Pendlebury has played a lone hand for the Pies. Dane Swan has been held to just eight disposals - mostly ineffective - while Nick Maxwell has been exposed by Morton.

SEVERAL Sydney players have been forced to catch trams to the MCG for tonight's clash against Collingwood after problems with the team bus.

The bus broke down, forcing players and officials to catch trams and taxis to the ground.

It is not known whether Sydney stars "touched on" with valid Myki cards.

Swans assistant coach John Blakey told SEN the bus broke down en route to the ground. Players started piling into taxis, but with Melbourne's peak-hour traffic causing havoc, many ditched cars for trams.
