WHAT THE? WEIRD MOMENTS YOU MISSED FROM ROUND 8
Kapitan has $1000 for his trouble after correctly picking five of the top nine SuperCoach scorers in Round 8, the most of any entry.
His team ASADA Bin Laden featured Jack Macrae, Trent Cotchin, Max Gawn, Brodie Grundy and Robbie Gray, who all finished as the No. 1 SuperCoach scorer in their respective matches.
And he was very stiff to miss out in the other four games, nominating Luke Parker (124 points, ranked second behind Jake Lloyd’s 130), Nat Fyfe (126, ranked fourth in that game), Patrick Cripps (111, ranked fourth) and Callan Ward (110, ranked fourth).

In all a combined 61 points separated those four from the top picks in each match.
That’s heartbreaking for Jacob, but good news for the rest of us because the jackpot increases to $265,000 for Round 9.
Looking ahead, Jack Macrae is a good bet to topscore again against the Crows on Friday night. Another Robbie Gray master class is on the cards against a depleted Gold Coast in Shanghai and after Max Gawn (127) and Aaron Sandilands (150) posted monster scores against the Saints ruck division, expect Brodie Grundy to go big.
